ALONE by Absolute Beginner
My lyrics and my music trying to describe the feeling of alienation. I'm not talking about being antisocial because that's not the same as simply being uncomfortable among people in a certain situation. To me this has more to do with being shy or sensitive or simply this is not the place to be, I don't belong here and I am aware. I needed to write about it because I have felt like that in the past. And who hasn´t? This musical idea of mine is some 5 years old but I wrote the lyrics back in November 2023 and it became the song it is now. Video recorded today 1 July 2024 in Elche, Spain. Music and lyrics written by Absolute Beginner 12 November 2023. Guitar: Art & Lutherie Cedar Black.

Sorrow intro cover by Absolute Beginner
Переглядів 342 місяці тому
Copyright PINK FLOYD MUSIC LTD. Absolute beginner covers David Gilmour's guitar intro of Sorrow, from the 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason. It may look easy but it is very difficult to sound like David and play that cool. You would have to be him, and that´s impossible, so I try to be myself and play the way I feel. Sorry for my mistakes. I am just an absolute beginner.
Dirty licks (they live on the road)

This is a short and simple composition based on an idea with G minor and C, and later I would add some spice with F and F#. I don't know if this is blues or not but I dig it and rehearse it quite often, and have given it many names along the past three years or so. Today I felt like using some distorsion and that's why it sounds dirtier than ever.

Nine Cats of Porcupine Tree - Cover by Absolute Beginner

Copyright by Porcupine Tree. I love this song, I hope not to have ruined it completely. Instead of Steven Wilson's trippy old version which I also adore, I have chosen to cover the acoustic one recorded by this genius years later. Sorry for my mistakes both playing and singing. I have tried to replicate the chords as accurate as possible and stay true to the song. Yes, Steve said that it was no...

A composition by Absolute Beginner. This musical idea came to me a long long time ago. There are five previous versions in my youtube channel. I first uploaded here a clip of me playing the main guitar lick under the name "Running in circles" back in March 2018 and I used my acoustic guitar. In April 2018 I first uploaded my performance with my electric guitar. And I did the same again twice in...

Thanks to Steven Wilson for creating it and to Ninet Tayeb for making me fall in love with her voice. Sorry for my mistakes. Guitar: Blade RH-2 Classic Ocean Blue. Amplifier: Roland Cube 40 GX. Camera: Apple iPhone 13. Chords: A, F#m, E, D, Dm, Cm, G.
Inspired by ECHOES Pink Floyd - Absolute Beginner

Some years ago I decided to write something inspired by the coda of the suite Echoes of Pink Floyd, and I came across this improvised music. I practice it quite often and this time I previously recorded a backing track (consists of Em-Bm-Am-B-occasionally adding C) which I reproduced with another mobile. I continue to be an absolute beginner. Guitar: Blade RH-2 Classic Ocean Blue. Amplifier: Ro...

      @didakelx 3 роки тому

      Yes, that's right. I am an absolute beginner. I played several tracks and the timings don't match. It sounds overloaded. I have to learn to record and make it less complicated, leaving space between notes. I thank you for your comment. I know it's for good.

      @@didakelx I feel like you are trying so hard to stay in the scale. In my opinion best licks and melodies come out when you are not thinking about what you are playing. And you are not beginner you are just little bit uncomfortable while you're playing :) feel free and relaxed

    • @didakelx
      @didakelx 3 роки тому

      @@wots_ You're right but let me explain. Be patient with me. I stay in the scale as I'm just beginning to learn about them. I know no musical theory. What I post are not really songs but real guitar training in several layers, yes too much repetition to train my ear, and sometimes it sounds boring but it's just another little step on my way. I'm still a beginner, trying to find what I like and at intervals playing what I feel. And yes, I feel quite uncomfortable. I'm trying hard and have little time a week to play. Pink Floyd is a band I love and Gilmour my reason to want to learn guitar. Thanks for watching and for your advice.

    Habria que preguntarle a quien la diseñó que idea tuvo, pero también a veces he especulado acerca de un posible sentido. La pirámide podriamos relacionarla como la analogía de la montaña y ahi me viene a la mente por ejemplo el encuentro de Moises con Dios en cima de la montaña; las montañas siempre han sido el hogar de las divinidades. El agua es similar al fluir de la vida que como dijo no recuerdo ahora quien fue, desemboca en em mar que es el morir. En el caso de esa fuente como dices, el agua regresa a su fluir como abandonando la muerte en ciclo eterno en el que alcanzada la divinidad se regresa la condición mortal.
